The doctor and the staff were responsive to any questions and treatment was handled in a very professional way. They never seemed to be hurried and listened with concern. Before treatment, I was unable to walk without pain. I did not have full range of motion.
I started improving in my ability to walk smoothly and have 125 degree range of motion. If my patella had been less sensitive, I could have kneeled. These things happened between the 4th and 5th week after my treatment. I am now able to up/down stairs with minimal discomfort. I can return to walking and my endurance is improving.
After the 6th week, I was able to remove the brace which freed up my walking. I still have a swollen knee and difficulty with stiffness when I get up from a sitting position or when I get up during the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I removed the brace in the 6th week and I can stand long periods without having to sit down. I can get dinner, which takes about 45 minutes. I can shop but do sit down when my body to do so. I take 2 Tylenol at night for a better rest and usually take one sometime during the day.
If someone were on the fence regarding treatment, I would encourage them regarding the Regenexx procedure. It is a more holistic approach, less discomfort, fast recovery and it encourages good body and bone health. The infra-red heating pad is most comforting. I would also tell them that treatment does not adversely affect other modalities. It is also very comforting, emotionally, that you know that you have hope of getting better.
