These MRIs show our 49 year old patient’s 4X5 cm rotator cuff tear. The pre-image shows swelling and what appears to be a large gap (red arrow) in the supraspinatus muscle. The patient was treated with a Regenexx-SD Procedure in the rotator cuff tear . The results are very promising.
Because of the extent of the tear, the patient was immobilized following the procedure. She reports significant improvement and the result above at 5 months following the injection is self-explanatory. The patient clearly appears to have a more normal rotator cuff tendon following her procedure.
Not all patients should expect results like these, but we’re very happy that this patient appears to have avoided surgery for the near future.
